Ramanthapur Sep. 20: Meeting and parting is an important aspect of life and we feel the pinch when somebody known to us bids farewell. Don Bosco Navajeevan family, Hyderabad bid farewell to Fr. Philip on his unexpected transfer on 16th September 2015. Fr. Philip would be remembered fondly for his selfless hard work and dedication towards this institution. A cheerful person with a lot of wit and humor, he was revered by the children and the staff fraternity equally. His dedication and tireless efforts served as a fine example to follow him more closely.
Fr. Sudhakar while addressing during the programme said that Don Bosco Navajeevan family, Hyderabad owes a lot to Fr. Philip for carrying out his responsibility as an administrator and assistant Director with the zest which was an amazing thing, an administrator’s job is no easy task in places like Navajeevan. It involves commitment, presence of mind and organizational skill, which are deeply embedded in him. His keen sense of observation coupled with his attention to detail has enhanced the growth of the institution.
Fr.Philip during his farewell message said that he treasures in his heart the fond memories of Navajeevan, Ramanthapur. It was his privilege to work for the abandoned boys as it was the direct work of Don Bosco. He said that he going to continue the same work in Don Bosco Non Formal Technical School, Kurnool, the place where he is appointed as Rector.
As a sweet remembrance staff presented him T-shirts prepared in our tailoring centre at the time of felicitation and the lively dances were the fitting finale of the programme.
We also took this occasion to welcome Bro Castilino Vincent as new administrator of DBNJ, Family, Hyderabad. Certainly his hard work and dedicated personal convinction will bring new life in the lives of the boys in our homes.
